Information: At the end of March 1942, prisoners of war from Soerabaja were interned in sheds, offices, and outbuildings belonging to the Java-China-Japan Line, in the Tandjoeng Perak harbour. They were put to work by day cleaning and repairing the harbour and at the Tandjoeng Perak airfield. Probably prisoners of war were also housed in other buildings around Tandjoeng Perak, including the KNIL and police barracks on Krembangan.
