Information: At the beginning of February 1942, the prisoners of war who had been interned at Menado were transferred to staff quarters in the barracks at Fort Amsterdam. In the middle of April 120 prisoners of war were transferred to Makassar, and two weeks later 150 prisoners of war at Fort Amsterdam were freed. In July, 30 officers (also prisoners of war) were taken to the infantry camp at Makassar.
