Information: At the end of April 1942, the “European” women and children from in and around Soengeipenoeh, including from the plantations on the slopes of the Kerintji, were shut up in the KNIL encampment in Soengeipenoeh. They lived in the KNIL barracks, in chambers, and in an independent pavilion, encircled by barbed wire. In June and August they were taken in two groups to the Mission complex in Padang.
