Information: In November 1942 the men – 19 Dutchmen, 17 Britons, and 3 Americans – who had in July of that year been interned in the Tandjoengbalei prison were taken to the assistant resident’s home. The house and outbuildings were encircled with barbed wire. At the beginning of February 1943 the internees went to the Unie Kampong camp in Belawan.
