Information: On April 27th, 1945, the native prisoners of war were moved from the artillery encampment to a forest bivouac near Goenoeng Api. After a week, it became clear that 150 prisoners had escaped, and more were continuing to do so. On June 13th the remaining prisoners of war reached Australian lines.
