Ordering images Print

It is possible to order the images that you find on this website. Please contact the organization that has made the image available to the NIOD.

(POW) camp plans

On this website you will find the camp plans in colour of well over a hundred camps. You can save and/or print these plans for your personal use.

In the caption of every camp plan you will find a link with the text ‘pdf’. If you click on this link a pdf file of the camp plan will open in your web browser. Using the icons in the top left-hand corner of your screen you can print the plan and/or save it as a pdf file.

If you have saved the pdf file and you want to reopen it at a later time you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download this programme free of charge from the Adobe website..

Saving and printing for personal use is free of charge. If you want to reproduce one or more camp plans in a book, on a website or in a magazine a user fee is payable. Please contact Beeldbank WO2 (the World War II Image bank) for this.

Photographs and drawings

For many camps you will find one or more photographs and/or drawings in addition to the camp plan. These images are from the image collections of the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation (NIOD) and the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV).

If you want to order an image please note the number(s) of the image(s) you want and the abbreviation that precedes the image number. You will find these numbers in the caption of each image. There is a charge for ordering these images, which can vary per organization. If you want to use the image in a book or on a website there is an additional user fee. The current rates can be found on the websites mentioned.
